Turkey’s UAS Export Efforts Are Not Slowing Down

After verified and / or reported sales to Ukraine, Qatar, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Tunisia & Azerbaijan Turkish UAS export efforts are not slowing down.

Recent reports of the El Salvadoran president, Nayib Bukele, visit to Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) signals the Turkish efforts to expand their outreach to the Latin American continent as well, along with other bids to neighbouring countries in the region.

As Ukraine is one of the original customers of the TB2 recent reports indicate that the country, on the brink of a potential clash with Russia, might be the first foreign customer of the new Akinci UAS – a dual turboprop powered, 6 tonne platform with a 1.5 tonne payload capacity according to its manufacturer.

In Africa, following Morocco & Tunisia, Niger might be following suit with a Nov. 2021 report of TB2 sales along with the Hurkus trainer aircraft.

Last October Kazakhstan, reportedly, ordered 3 Anka UAVs with neighbouring Kyrgystan placing an order for the TB2.

In December Iraq’s cabinet has reportedly allocated $100 million for the TB2 as well.

Back in Europe, Hungary might be the next customer after the Karayel UAV, manufactured by Vestel, was spotted at the Papa Air Base showcasing its capabilities.
