Airpelago secures funding and Sweden’s first LUC flight permit to accelerate international expansion

Airpelago recently closed a seed round with its existing shareholders and got Sweden’s first Light Unmanned Certificate (LUC) flight permit. These together will support and accelerate the company’s international expansion which focuses on DACH, Poland, Spain, France and the UK.

We’re thrilled to share that Airpelago has successfully raised 20 million SEK from our existing investors, marking a significant milestone in our growth journey. We have been awarded Sweden’s first Light Unmanned Operator Certificate (LUC) in an equally exciting development. This certification allows us to carry out Beyond Visual Line-of-sight inspections of power lines throughout Europe, leveraging our cutting-edge drone technology.

“Securing the LUC underscores our dedication to regulatory compliance and operational excellence. It’s a crucial step forward as we expand our footprint into new international markets” says Max Hjalmarsson, CEO.

The infusion of funds will fuel our ambitious plans for global expansion, enabling us to offer our eco-friendly, safe, and detailed inspection services to grid operators worldwide. We seek dynamic individuals to lead our efforts as country managers in five key European regions.
